This kid from Fennvile (about 200 miles outside of Detroit) died while celebrating his game winning shot.
Tragedy struck Western Michigan on Thursday night when Fennville (Mich.) High basketball star Wes Leonard hit a game-winning shot in a 57-55, overtime victory over Bridgman (Mich.) High, then collapsed on the court while celebrating the victory and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly thereafter.
Holy shit.
I guess this is what is meant by leaving it all on the court? That's fucking heavy. Kid saves the day and then just fucking dies. What a stud. Literally gave it all he had. Can't ask for more in a player. Somewhere Bill Belichick is sobbing out of respect.
